
By default, your Mac system will display the language and region of the place you purchased your system. You can also modify the language and region of your system easily. This will allow you to see the text and information in the language chosen by you. Languages that are completely supported by the MacOS and those that are partially supported are listed. Here is how you can set the system language and region settings in the Mac OS X system.
Step 1
Look for ‘System Preferences’
As an initial step, click the 'Apple' icon that is present at the top left screen. From the list of choices, select the ‘System Preferences’ option to view all the system settings related to the Mac OS X.

Step 2
Choose ‘Language & Text’
The system preferences window has a lot of options under the personal, hardware, internet and the system tab. You should select ‘Language & Text’ to alter the settings related to the language and region.

Step 3
Click on ‘Language’
In the language and text window, you will find settings regarding languages, text, formats and the input sources. Click the ‘Language’ option to view all the languages that are available. From the language list, choose any language from the list for your Mac system.

Step 4
Select the ‘Formats’
Select the ‘Formats’ tab to view the region, dates, times and number settings. You can find the list of available regions in the scroll down menu as shown below. You can click the region from the list according to your choice.

Step 5
Choose ‘Region’
Once the region is chosen, you will find the chosen region in the formats tab. In addition, you can also edit the currency settings as well.
