I just install the new Java SDK 1.4.1_01 on my Win2k box as administrator & can?t run the javac.exe in any directory except for the default install c:\j2sdk1.4.1_01\bin directory.

Setting the ?Environment Variables? doesn?t work:
Path
C:\j2sdk1.4.1_01\bin

Is there another way to set the path in Win2k?
Thanks

[EDIT] I got it, Thanks all for the help.
After a reboot the damned thing works like a charm.

Yep. Press win-key+Break to bring up your system properties (or right click on my computer and choose properties)
Go into the advanced tab
Click 'Environment Variables'
Then change the PATH in the 'system variables' box.

That was exactly how I tried to set the path for the bin directory but it is a no go.
Thanks for the help.

I also have tried copying the javac.exe into the system32 directory and it is also a no go.

Any one else know another way?
