How to set keyboard controls with Gamepad on NBA Live 2006 to make play calling

Hi guys, I would like to ask why is it that I cannot use the keyboard together with the controller on NBA Live 2006 PC version? I am using a Logitech Precision gamepad, and obviously the button in the gamepad is not enough for NBA Live 2006 so I set the play calling button on the keyboard such as the default 1,2,3,4 button on the keyboard. Whenever I tried pressing the default play button on the keyboard nothing happens even if I set it on the controls setup. (Even the pause and timeout keys set on the keyboard does not respond,only the "Esc" key is operational on the keyboard when using the gamepad). Anyone here who also uses Logitech Precision or any other gamepad on NBA Live 2006 PC version? can you guys make a play using the keyboard buttons?

In other words, It is as if you use the gamepad you are not allowed to use the keyboard and vice versa, is there a way to use the gamepad and then use the keyboard for other control like play calling as the button on the gamepad is not enough.

Yeah I hate when they restrict you like that. Thats how NHL 04 was. If you chose gamepad for control you couldn't bind some lesser used keys to the keyboard.

Something like ControlMK or Pinnacle Game Profiler might work for you. You can emulate keyboard and mouse with your gamepad for games not directly supporting it. It found profiles for all the FPS games I have, so I'm assuming it can be setup to play FPS games with my 360 controller... not that its anywhere near as good as a mouse + kb, but I might try it out to see how hard it is to compete with mouse + kb with those damn sticks.
