How to Set Date and Time on Mac OS X

The users can set the date, time and timezone for their Mac OS X system based on their choice. You can choose either the analog or the digital clock. The user can either go with the automatic date and time option or completely set them manually. Another feature is that you can either opt for the 24-hour clock or the 12-hour clock type. Here is how you can easily set the date and time on your Mac OS X system.

Step 1
Choose ‘Date & Time Preferences’

The initial step is to click on the current time that gets displayed at the top right corner of your Mac screen. On clicking, you find the small list of options. You should now choose the ‘Date & Time Preferences’ option to modify the date and time settings.

Step 2
Click on ‘Clock’ Tab

The new date & time window will open with options. Click on the ‘Clock’ tab to change the clock related settings. Here, you can choose the format of the clock like the 24-hour clock and can also allow the seconds to be displayed. Similarly, date options can also be modified.

Step 3
Click on ‘Date & Time’ Tab

Now click on the ‘Date & Time’ tab. You can now choose the automatic date and setting option or also select your time zone. As shown below, you can set the current date and time of your system.
