Alright here's my problem if any of you can help me out, its an easy one.

My friend gave me this dell computer..1.7 ghz and i want to put my own 40 gig hard drive in there. The boot sequence is floppy, rom, then hard drive. when i try to boot from my hard drive i get a blue screen. jumpers are on right. his hard drive loads the os just fine. i set quick boot to off, so shouldn't it configure my hard drive and boot from that???

I'm confused, please reply.

WOW, I have been having this problem with other computers for a LONG time. I can't believe noone could have told me that, ha. Jesus, that sucks. thanks for your help, that must be the problem.

I concour with blodhi74. This is another reason why they tell you to install windows before overclocking your system.

Good Luck...
