here you go:
- setup up your router to route port 21 to your computer
- d/l filezilla server - http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/
- run through the seting up of the program
- click on the server interface, click on the lightning bolt if it is not already pushed in, next go to the settings options (which is to the right of the lock), set up any parameters and set the port to 21
- click on the icon with the 1 head on it, next to the settings, there select the folder and on the right of this new window, add the user
- give your friend your EXTERNAL ip address or wan ip and he should be able to connect. if he is using ie the syntax will be ftp://user😛ass@ip
this should get you started, if you want i will try it once you get it setup to make sure i can connect and up/dl from you

what lighting bolt? i have no idea what i'm doing...so far it says" connected with 102.0125.012..waiting for welcome message..." and it doesn;t go anywhere after that
