i want to send out a newsletter to my firm's clients, how i send out a newsletter cheap.

and no i am sure i don't want to email it, it's better for a paper copy.

One thousand $0.37 cent stamps, one thousand photocopies, and a bunch of time folding papers (or Kinkos will do it in their machine for a modest fee).

I don't see a way cheaper than that.

you have to get a permit from the post office. they will take you through the procedure.

Where are you based?

also, if its a one time thing, stamps are the best way to go because you'll have to pay the post office $200 just to start.

if it's an ongoing thing than by all means go to the post office.

pm me if you have questions.

I have a permit and do bulk mailing. i actually print the endicia (in place of a stamp) on the newsletter or postcard i'm sending out.

Kinkos/Staples/Copy Works should be able to print it off, fold it, and bulk mail it for you. How are you going to address it? Got all the addresses stored in a label program of sorts?

$150.00 annual fee to receive a bulk-mail permit (you?ll probably want to just use Standard)
$100.00 for an imprint indicia (the square in the top right hand corner that says something like.

PRESORT STD
U.S. POSTAGE PAID
CITY, STATE ZIP
PERMIT # XXXX

You?ll want to use an indicia if you don?t want to use a postage meter. You?ll need 250 pieces of mail to qualify for bulk-rates, and you?ll need software to pre-sort the mail for you and create the delivery point barcode if you?re going to be using ZIP+4 (also need to CASS certify your list ? this basically confirms that the address you have is considered deliverable by the USPS).

PM me with questions ? your local bulk mail center should be able to provide help to get you started.

i just got that free xerox color printer and am dying to use it on something and my boss thinks this is the best thing to do. i think that i will just use stamps, and see how it goes. if it turns into a monthly thing, i will go the bulk thing, but for a one time thing it's too much of a hassle.
