Guys, I'm at a LAN party and we're having competitions on how to screw each other's computers. They've all stopped messenger. what else can i do to spam the hell out of them? I tried making a batch file that pings and running 100 sessions of it but the network easily handles that.

Overload a single power socket. 🙂

Send them emails with backdoor trojans disguised as valid attachments.

Too many other types of attacks for anybody to list them all here for you; they can be found on google I'm sure.

spam and denial of service type stuff is lame and I can't imagine how that could be fun

read up on some of the capture the flag games that take place at like defcon and maybe you'll get some ideas

It'd take a long time, but... Make network cables that aren't connected end to end. Take a bare cable, pull the sheathing down as far as you can, and sever a couple of the appropriate wires. Then put the sheathing back on, and crimp the connector on.

Not really something you can do at a LAN party, but ahead of time...
