Is there any way I can prove the Japanese version? The other day this friend of mine said "so des ka" to me in an IM conversation, and she says it means "I see" in Japanese. Babelfish doesn't translate that or the phrase in here though.

Afrikaans is a mix of Dutch and English.

Edit: 17th/18th century Dutch and English that is.
