How to Run Chrome OS on Any Laptop

You can't, really. There are some old VM builds that kinda work, but I've never seen anyone get ChromeOS running on a laptop that wasn't sold with it.

That said, devices that run ChromeOS are so cheap that it isn't really worth the effort unless you place no value on your time.
 
ChromeOS? No, you probably can't do that.

ChromiumOS? Probably. It's kind of involved. There are people who do vanilla builds that you can use to skip a lot of this. Hexxeh, for example, but they haven't made a build in over two years.
