Amazing. I love how they even have a "Jerry Springer" ending where the guy pretty much dismisses what has gone during his show as wrong...yet obviously he had no problem making money off of it.

I really do have trouble believing that this really is a true situation and not some contrived show. Who the hell would really bring there family on a show like this when they have that many skeletons in their closet...really? Are people that stupid?

I can't watch stuff like that... something about it just turns me off.

Porn, yeah I can dig that. But this stuff just rubs me the wrong way for some reason.

Money makes people do crazy things.

Also, cocaine is one hell of a drug.

I wonder how many of the women are going to go after the cash prizes their ex-husbands get when they decide to get a divorce.

Anyone else get the impression she's a golddigger/trophy wife that's only married to him because he's probably upper class?

I'm surprised that Fox, the channel of the Family Values Party, has such shows...

Ad hominem much?

Since when did Fox ever claim that?

You've never watched Faux Newz I take it...or any of their talking head shows.

What, the 1 conservative hannity and the 1 wannabe conservative o'reilly?

Versus every single broadcaster in MSNBC, CNN, ABC news, CBS news being liberal?

And here it comes folks - watch him blame everything on the "liberal media" bias, even though the thread is about a show on FOX. :disgust:

IIRC, there's a bunch of laws surrounding a contest for cash/sweepstakes. I doubt they are actors, but who knows.

The point of the show is that they ask the questions before hand under a polygraph. They say this at the beginning of the show, so of course they know what questions are on the list (they ask 50 questions prior to the show and pick 21).

The "contest" part about the show is actually telling the truth in front of your family/stage/camera. Would you admit to: theft, sexual assault, adultery, etc in front of a camera (assuming you did it)? That's potentially career/relationship ending material.

The funny thing is, after the show, the woman wouldn't get squat from the divorce because she admitted that she had an affair while being married. All the divorces I've heard of where the guy is faithful and the woman is the one cheating, the woman is pretty much treated like a guy normally is and left with nothing. I know a guy (Friends cousin) who got full custody of his kid after they had photo evidence of the woman cheating on him.

SHe wasn't even that hot for a trophy wife.

That show will never give up the big cash. All they have to do is formulate the final question along the same lines as hers: "Are you a good person?" What BS! Sorry the answer is no, you fail, see ya! How can anyone contradict them? Completely rigged.

As for the fake suspense, nope. They basically show you the entire show during the commercial segues. It's like anti-suspense.

Wow! Are you 80 or 15?

All divorces are no-fault. Adultery harkens back to the days when you had to show cause for divorce. Divorces these days happen if one party wants out, no questions asked. Behavior can only be used in custody hearings, and the behavior would have to be directly abusive to the children before the court would take any action.
