So I have a few videos that I have taken of my cats, I usually use Nero Recode which is part of my Nero Platinum 205 Suite to rotate them as they are shot horizontally with my Glaxy Note 4 but what I just noticed is that after the video is flipped and I save it, the quality is nowhere near as good as the original video.

I did set Nero Recode's profile to high quality but still.

Is there any other program that can do this without losing quality?

No, but it should be possible without noticable loss. Try Avidemux or Handbrake (Video tab Extra Options: rotate 4) -note Handbrake can use Intel QuickSync for faster encode.

However, it's obviously best for the player to handle it without the hassle. What is the target device where vertical is preferred and can't its player do it or be replaced with another app that can?

I prefer not to have the to switch the view everytime I run the player.

How to do it in Handbrake? any quick guide you think you can give me?
