How to rotate video in WMP?

I took some video with my phone, I turned the camera horizontal while I was recording, but in WMP it's vertical. How can I rotate it?

Thanks

Seriously? I mean you can rotate a photo but not a video?

Why does my phone show video horizontally when it's positioned vertically?

Well, your reference is always up when you're looking at the screen of the phone, while recording video and rotating it in your hand.

Fix the phone to your head and then rotate side-to-side, and you'll see how your phone sees the world.

Just figure out which way is "up" to your phone. If it's a smartphone, chances are it's meant to be held horizontally. This is the reason you see so many vertical framed cellphone videos on youtube.

Just rotate your whole windows screen! (not the monitor) Then when you play it it will already be sideways! There may be some kind of Shortcut KEY for this. Look at the display properties. Once you get it sideways it is hard because it all looks goofey when you try to use the mouse!

FWIW, if you just want to rotate the video for the simple sake of viewing it on your computer, you can use a player like Media Player Classic.

If you want to upload it to youtube or something, it'll still be rotated wrong.
