bought a western digital hard drive from a sams deal about 3 months ago. now the drive is dead. what do i do next, who do i contact, how do i get another drive!!

Ummm...we're going to need more information than that 🙂

If its an IBM drive, check out the 75GXP Anandtech FAQ. It explains the process, even if you don't have a 75GXP
