How to Reverse Speakers in vista

In xp you clicked a box and everything was great, now I cant find anything through google on how to do this except one guy who advises to change the position of your speakers. If he wants to come over and rearrange my 5.1 system and run the cables again he can do that, otherwise a real fix would be awesome.

Maybe there is a freeware program that will do it?

iirc, the kxproject drivers let you reverse your speakers and more, but you might not be able to use them depending on your soundcard. just check the kxproject website. google it.

you could blame vista, but you could also blame the team that created the soundcard drivers you're using.

You could do it with a few Y-cables from radio shack if moving speakers is that much of a problem. Get a 3.5" to stereo RCA Y-cable, and a stereo RCA to 3.5" adapter. Just switch the red and white, and youre done.

And this certainly isnt a vista problem. Why your audio system is backwards in the first place is the real problem.
