Monitor Page

Hello, I recently purchased a Samsung 710N from the egg, and upon recieving it, even before I turned it on, I knew it was not going to work, because the cords were about 10 inches short from my electrical strip, and VGA input. Then it gets good! When I sat it on the floor and turned it on, there are 2 dead pixels, right next to one another, in the upper left center of the screen. How do I return a monitor if it has dead pixels, but something else is wrong with it, something more necessary, like being able to use it...

Warranted through manufacturer only, what does that mean if I wanted to return the monitor?

They dont cover short cords in their warranty. You might have to pay the restocking fee. Or you can use an extension cord.

OK, so I don't want a replacement, all I want to do is return the unit, is that really hard to do? other than the re-stocking fee?

Get an RMA number from Newegg, mail it to them, they subtract 15% of what you paid and refund it once they receive it and make sure everything's included.

I'd just buy extension cords. Chances are other monitors you buy will have the same size cords.

I'm not even interested in another, I just want to return this, and be done with it, only problem now is getting around this "item is not warranted through newegg" problem. :(
