Anyone has an idea? I have the *.ost file available. However the Exchange server does not exist or the Domain Controller. I have a workstation PC with a working domain profile and the OST file. I log into windows with the domain user profile.

So can i extract mail from this situation?

Thanks,

Probably not. It's likely that only the headers are local, and the mail bodies are downloaded from the Exchange server on demand.

No, the mail bodies are local also. I have heard about software which converts OST to PST. But can't remember about any of those...

The .OST file is the Outlook cached Exchange file. It's a giant pile of crap and creates more problems then it supposedly fixes. No, you cannot "open" it from Outlook at all. It's quite worthless. What you wanted was a .PST file.

I have seen this situation before. In some cases you can run Outlook on the computer, put up with some error messages and long delays, and then export everything to a backup .pst. It works most of the time.
