How to restore a partition after reboot?

At my university, you can save files to the local drive, or do any changes you want. Upon reboot, the hard drive goes back to the factory state and any created files are gone. As if it's pulling a ghosted image from the server. I have searched to try and find out how to do this on my own network but no luck...I just thought it would be a cool and practical thing to do, preventing spyware from infecting hard drives for very long.

Any guidance would be appreciated..thanks.

inode is kinda..iffy. I've worked with it before 🙂

good idea, and they are getting better (I need to ask the engineer currently testing for them how it's going) Biggest problem I had was lack of Linux support.
