how to resize many images in one step ?

I have a coolpix 950. Every picture I take is in the size of 1600x1200. This is hard for me to put on the web. I was using photoshop 5, ACDSee to resize every picture one by one. Is there any software or application that can let me resize all my pictures together ? I tried to use some software to make tumbnails, but the tumbnail is too small for that. I want to make those pictures to 800x600 or 640x480.

Record an action in Photoshop (resize->save->close) and assign some keyboard combination to it. Then just open all of your pictures and resize each one by pressing the keyboard combination. This is quite fast. You can make an action for every resolution your camera uses.
