Hi all, I just sold my Xbox 360 on eBay and want to delete all personal info off. Anyone know how I can do a format on this thing?

go into memory and format the drive.

Alternatively, you can also try this:
Resetting to factory defaults / resetting parental locks (unconfirmed)
This was posted on the xbox-scene forums and might work only with older versions of Xbox 360 dashboard.

Press the following key combination

* Left Trigger, Right Trigger, X, Y, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, Up, Left Bumper, Left Bumper, X

This should give you a dialogue asking whether or not you want to reset your system to factory default settings.
This is supposed to clear the cache on your HDD but also removes any system updates to the 360. Not sure if you want to try that. Still think just going into the system blade and deleting everything (profiles, game saves, etc) off the HDD is the easiest.

To reformat your XBOX 360 Hard Drive, go to the system tab on your XBOX 360 dashboard, Select Memory, then select the hard drive (high light it) and then press the Y (yellow button) for Device Options.
Once there, you will have the option to Rename or Format the drive.

On a side note, how much did you sell it for? I'm about to unload my nearly new 360...
