How to reset Palm device?

I recently bought a used PDA and they guy did not reset it. I used backupbuddy to backup all my files from my old device, but when I try to Hotsync it tries to sync with the previous owner's name... evern though I changed hte name in the system settings and deleted it from Palm Desktop. Any thoughts on how to completely reset to factory settings? Thanks.
 
It would help tremendously to tell us which model of Palm you have. What you'll have to do is a hard-reset (this erases everything stored in memory except for the ROM, of course). Find out what model you have and go here. Choose your model and you'll be brought to a support page that contains links for Hotsync software and the user guide.
