how to reset a bios password on a laptop mobo?

I have a Gateway Solo 400 and Someone put a Bios pasword on it and Gateway Tech support is worthless. Can someone tell me where the jumper is or if there is a battery on a laptop mobo? i have the keyboard out already and I dont see any jumpers or battery. Can the Bios be replaced?
