how to replace a chipset heatsink?

Can anyone tell me how to replace a chipset heatsink? The one on my ASUS A8N-SLI just died, but i dont know how to remove it and install a new one, the manual dont explain it...

I have that same motherboard and have noticed that my fan runs 8-9,000 rpm all the time even when idle for 12 hours. Way too much noise 🙁... Anyways, I did some measurements and the stock chipset heatsink/ fan is about 40mmx 40mmx 26mm.

I've found a few good ones at:
Chipset Heatsinks.

The Thermaltake heatsink cooler was the one I got. I doubt it'll get in the way of the top video card's Zalman VF700-Cu cooler. If it does I'll just remove the fan and keep the heatsink with a case fan blowing on it.

Not a bad price imo...

Hope it helps.

PS: I'm a long time reader of the forums just never gave my 2 bucks worth. 🙂

EDIT: First post's need to be edited, dont question me!
