How to repair W98SE installation by reinstalling using OEM.

Okay Here what happened

Had W98 FE HD (FAT16) from my retired PC (Pentium 100, I don't have the PC anymore, just the HD) and I wanted some data/games from it. I also remember the are a bundle of programs that I haven't install on my current PC, So I figure just to pop in the old HD and boot to it safe mode, and transfer the data to my current HD.

Current PC (Iwill kk266R running W98SE FAT32)

HDs are on Primary Master (PM), Primary Slave (PS) , Secordary Master (SM) on Raid Channels

Regular Channels

CDRW (PM)
CDROM (PS)
ZIP (SM)

So I unpluged my CDRW and placed my old HD into and change the boot order to HD-0 first, then Raid 100....Everything when fine but then I noticed they where some hidden files on PM Raid hard drive that wasn't there before and I thought nothing of it, but later I see that there are now a lot "junk files and directory" and when i click on them it gives me a --File Error--. So I immediately power down and re-plug my CDRW in and boot the PC with Raid 100 HD.....the PC will not boot, so I run scandisk and it says there are two copy of FAT (File Allocation Tables) and it should be identical. I click yes to repair all problems (Cross-linked files, lost cluster, directory stuctures).. Tried to boot the PC again, and it boot but says Missing some files, so i replaced them and reboot the system, now it says there kernel is corrupted and i will need to reinstall w98 and automatically shut down. I tried Safe mode and regular boot...same results.

Somehow it look the W98 FE (Fat16) corrupted the W98SE (Fat 32) FAT table and most of my files.
How to I reinstall W98 SE to repair my installation and keep my setting/Profile with the OEM verison of w98SE
What are the steps?

Thanks in advance

Should be able to re-install Win98SE right over itself without formatting and be able to keep all your personal stuff and programs intact.
