Hello. Can any1 tell me how to rename and\or add to my cd drives in Windows XP Pro so that I can just eye them and know right quick? When I clk "My Computer" and the C: , D: , A: , E: drives all show up.... on my 2 rom drives it says CD Rom D: and CD Rom E: One is my burner and one is the cd drive and I'd like to add at least something like 52x to the cd-rom so I will know instantly which is which.
You can right clk the C drive and the A drive and it gives you an option to rename both of them, but it doesnt for either cd-drive. If I go into "System" "Device Mgr" ...to the cd drives it does show the names correctly there>>> Asus 52X cd-rom & Asus 52x24x52 cd-rom but I am sure there is a way to add to the name in the My Comp drive section isnt there?
