how to remove windows messenger?

so how do i do it?

i've tried everything and i can't get rid of it.

it loads up everytime that load up outlook express even though i disabled that option.

any ideas?

add/remove programs - add/remove windows components

You can also disable the service

Add/remove progs only removes shortcuts to it. Instead, try this.

or if its xp throw in the cd and select perform other task> install additional component> uncheck windows messenger and click ok.

I think the additional componenets installer launched from the CD is the same one in the add/remove progs via control panel. When I wanted to get rid of Win Msgr, the only way was by using a "tweak" like the one I linked or through another tweak that involves editing an *.inf.
