According the documentation, there should be an uninstall script included with the software. After reading through, this program looks like a beast to get rid of... processes everywhere, just like their Windows clients. Ugh.. so nasty.
I just found this: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=123547
I was able to kill the beast. I will never use another Mcafee product on a personal machine ever again. I still have it on machines at work however.
I wouldn't worry too much about Anti-Virus software for mac, i've been using Mac's for a few years now without a spot of protection and i've yet to have, nor even really hear of any issues.
Yea.. if Macs really pick up, I still think it could become an issue. But if it does, the Mac dev community will provide something much better than what Mcafee will give. They are a joke IMO.
