Hello
I have this computer that does not like to be restarted,
It locks up and gives all kids of trouble, but when I shut down and power back up everything is fine.
So rather that reloading all the software again I would rather just remove the restart option if possible

Thanks
Robert

have you tried the ms patch for shutting down? that might be the problem, other than that, check to see if policy editor has that option. it is in the in the win98 cd, under powertoys or something like that.

Why not just don't use it?

I had that problem, but after a while it went away.

what "kinds of trouble" does it give? Does it just not restart, does it freeze, or what? Make sure you have all the updates for your OS by going t o winblows update. Make sure you do not have a virus/trojan - I had one that would not let me restart.

Winboost 2000 GOLD MAY remove it though I'm not sure. Though it if doesn't, I'm not sure what would if anything.

That program does a bunch of things like that.
