How to remove outlook express from WIN2K?

Is there any way to remove outlook from win2k? It does not show up on add/remove programs (or the windows components add/remove) and if I just try to delete the folder Win2K puts it back as fast as I can delete. Any help is appreciated.

I may be wrong, but I believe that Outlook is actually a part of MS Office, while it is Outlook Express that is a part of Windows.

I've never tried, and don't know how, to remove a single program from MS Office. I don't use Outlook so I deleted it from the desktop only, which was good enough for me.

🙂

Thanks guys - it is outlook express and it seems that the only thing to do is to 'hide it and ignore it'. These machines are in a student lab which is why I wanted to actually remove it, but I ended up just removing all permissions from the directory and even though it's not gone, it is not usable.

If you're never going to use it, just delete the application exe file. That way, no one will be able to launch it, period.
