I had my computer dualbooting, and using the Default Windows OS Loader... but i removed one of the Operating Systems because it was getting annoying. Now whenver my computer starts up, it still gives the OS Loader menu. How do i get rid of this?

probably.. but not using Win2K.. i went back to using ME. I was dualbooting ME/XP but XP kept crapping out (and was a beta version).

for win9x, type format /mbr, which will reset the master boot record to what it tws.

for win2k, go to recovery console, log in and the command is fixmbr I think.

Ah well I could tell you how in XP (it's easy)

In ME I think you'll have to do some manual editing on your WIN.INI or some such file..

Edit:
OR do what MartyTheManiak said! ;)

Yeah I could tell you in nt/2k/xp, in ME though wouldn't you just be able to sys C:\ from a ME bootdisk?

its in boot.ini, you have to remove one of the choices. they are in the order they are in the menu.

i did... my boot.ini shows:

[boot loader]
timeout=15
default=C:\="Microsoft Windows ME"
[operating systems]
C:\="Microsoft Windows ME"

but my OS Loader Screen NOW shows:

Windows XP Professional
Windows ME
Default
