How to Remove Office 2007?

What is the correct way to uninstall Office 2007 from an HP notebook. The notebook uses VISTA and a trial version of Office 2007. Successfully attempting to install an older Office version seems to be being prevented by the 07 trial version, yet removing the 07 version is problematic.

With previous versions, just going to add/remove programs & highlighting the Office line item and remove used to be all that was required.

Add/Remove programs? You mean it's not listed, or you don't have the option to remove it? Slightly confused by the context of your post in relation to your actual problem.

LIL bit more information needed. Are you getting errors? Just not uninstalling? What exactly is "problematic?"

Sorry about the lack of specificity. Im actually trying to help a friend (via phone) do this effort. I remember that when I was over at his abode, I tried to uninstall the 07 using Add/Remove Programs. It was there as a line item, but it would not remove but now I cant remember the specific details. The owner will attempt the uninstall tonight & I will get more information.

A possibility was that UAC was not disabled so I emailed the owner to ensure that this is accomplished before the uninstall attempt.

The computer is an HP DV6748us with VISTA (NOT a low end version of the OS).

I see based on a Google search that this apparently is a significant problem area for people (ie, removing the Off 07 trial version).

In any event, I will post an update about what has happened with more specifics.
