We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. We’ll post an update once the fix has been deployed. Thanks for your patience while we get this sorted.
in display properties, check "Hide icons when desktop is viewed as webpage" or a program like X-Setup could do it if i remember correctly. its got lots of other tweaks too that are pretty cool. but backup when it says to cuz some wont work on all systems. 😀
The best program I have found for doing these things is Microangelo. It works in all versions of windows, and really gives you total icon control . . . even the "system" icons. I use an animated cursor (it breathes, and as long as it is "breathing" I know the system is running OK.) I also rename "My Computer" to "System," and "Recycle Bin" to "Trash." The last one is neat . . . it has a green background and an empty toilet when empty, and that changes to a red background with a bowl piled high with brown when full. 🙂
