I need to exchange CPU in my computer but when I removed the heatsink I couldnt open the socket without removing its retention bracket. But I have no idea how to do it, there are bottom push-pins and inserting push-pins, which when installed together resemble something like intel uses on its generic HSFs. The thing is I cant remove it as rotating the screws doesnt help, grabing it with pliers and trying to pull with excessive force doesnt do the thing either. I need advice on how to do it, without removing the board and just pull them from backside, as that would be a killer for me just beacuse I want to test different CPU.

The heatsink is arctic freezer 11 LP

in pix on google the pins look tan and the tab stuck between them look black...

just pull out the black tabs from the center of each of the tan pins... then pop it out as a hole unit or pull the tan pins out, but looks like you wont beable to unless you push it out form behind. (if you dont wana go behind, just pull the hole black bracket up witht he pins after you remove tbe black tabs)
