Well,
I know the original startup folder cannot be removed, but I accidently created a copy (not a shortcut) in the start menu of that folder. It wont let me get rid of it because it thinks it's a system folder. I even tried changing it's name but it wont work. Anyone know?

Wow, cool trick. I'll have to remember that when I want to irritate somebody. :D

you can probably do it from a command console, but you may be able to do it from a dos window.

I am not fluent in DOS so I wouldn't be able to fix it there. The problem is that it's not a shortcut, somehow it is the actual folder, but it is also still in the start menu too. I don't get it. I have tried to change it from read only but it always puts a check back there.

Well, for some reason it has allowed me to cut and paste it through my computer. I have successfully removed it from desktop to my start/programs folder. The only problem I have now is that there are 2 exactly the same startup folders that are also named the same. Both of them are a true startup folder and not shortcuts which is why I can't get rid of either of them. I can't find anything different between a folder like that and one that I can create so how the heck does windows flag a folder to make it not able to be deleted? Where is that setting at?
Well, I will try my luck with safe mode and see if I can get rid of it there. I will repost only if it helps. Thanks guys.
