Hello Everyone,

I have a HPE m510 server blade.
The blade has a CPU but it is soldered on to the board.

I am trying to desolder the CPU from the board.
I am using a desoldering heat gun and I have tried temperatures 220-320 degrees Celsius ,also using Soldering flux paste.

I am still having no luck getting this CPU to come off.
Does anyone have any other ideas or ways to remove the CPU from the board without damaging the CPU?

Thank you.

Go for an university EE degree and after you declare your major and get into the school EE labs, ask a teaching assistant nicely to help remove the CPU from the board. The EE schools has a micro desoldering machine that does a perfect job. Machine cost $20K+!
