How to remove a stock (or without an arm) heatsink properly?

Hi, i just wanted to ask what kind of tools to use to DELICATELY remove the sink? I used a fork (screwdriver wont fit), but unfortunately, scratched the socket. Can you please advise on the methods of removing the sink? without removing the mobo?
