How to reduce noise (Turbulence) ?

I have a Fong-Kai 603 case and I'm getting allot of noise from the front intake and the fan in back just above the CPU.
I think its a question of turbulence, because when I run the fan alone not in front of the grill of the case the sound is bearable.
If I cut the grills and put a filter in the front and back do you think it would help?

Let me know if you had a semilar problem and how you fixed it.

Thanks !!!

Cutting the grills would almost certainly help. Have you used rubber grommets for mounting the fans? Rubber grommets are the little donuts you first thread screws through before screwing them into a hole. Reduces vibration and therefore noise.

Make sure you clean/replace the filters every so often so that the fan has maximum output.

I dunno if you'll be able to do this, but I use foam inside of the case (soft foam) and it reduces the noise level dramatically. I'd advise you to do that if you're able to..
