Ok so the Logitech webcam software doesn't have a record function....why? How? I dunno. That makes about as much sense to me as a microphone that doesn't have a "speak" option.
Why on Earth would webcam software NOT have a record function????
So I downloaded another program called "Logitech Capture", which by the way won't even run with the other Logitech software running.
I cannot figure it out either. It has two "source" options, monitor 1 and monitor 2 (don't have a second monitor). If I choose monitor 1 I can record what I'm doing on my screen, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to record using the camera. The camera does not show up anywhere in the program at all. I don't get it. The camera light doesn't even come on unless I open the webcam software that came with it.
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong and why this would be so difficult? It's baffling to me that I can build my own computers from scratch but can't figure this out.
It seems to me the webcam should come up as the default "source" since it's the only camera on the computer.
