
Mac is self-sufficient when it comes to recording its own screen. Usually, other operating systems might require external applications such as snipping tools and screen recorders to record the ongoing activity on the screen, Mac automagically does it in some few cool and simple steps via its in-built quick time app; here’s how you’re going to use quick time app to record your activity on the screen.
Step 1
Launch ‘QuickTime Player’
Select the ‘Go’ tab and then select ‘Applications’ from your desktop. Launch ‘QuickTime Player’. You’ll notice the range of menus on the menu bar of the QuickTime Player.

Step 2
Select ‘Screen Recording’
Select the ‘File’ menu and then ‘New Screen Recording’. The screen recording window will appear.

Step 3
Customize Recording
Click the ‘Drop-Down’ arrow next to the record button and then select your preferred microphone settings. You can disable the voice recording by using the ‘None’ option in the microphone settings. Optionally, you can enable/disable the ‘Show Mouse Clicks in Recording’ checkbox for extended recording experience. When you’re ready, click the ‘Record’ button.

Step 3
Start ‘Recording’
Either click anywhere on the screen to start recording the entire screen or click and drag the portion of the screen you want to record. The QuickTime Player will start recording your screen with your configured preferences.

Step 4
Stop ‘Recording’
Click the ‘Stop’ button from the menu bar. QuickTime Player will now show you what you just recorded.

Step 5
Save Recording
Select the ‘File’ menu and then ‘Save’. Save the video at your preferred location. Your video will be exported to the location you just selected.
