Hi all,
I would just like to know how to record from computer to VCR, as there is a movie on the computer I would like to put to tape. I have a video camera but do not want to record it back to that through firewire. I have asus v9280 ti4200 vivo video card. I tried last night to see whether I could connect the computer out to vcr in, but no luck. If anybody has recorded from computer to VCR please write back and help me, thanks in advance!

Ya, tell what kind of connectors you are planning on using. If your vid card has a 1/8'' minijack, you will have to get a convertor from radio shack that changes it to RCA. I have tried this with my vcr except vice versa (I wanted to convert my tapes to VCD) via my wintv go card (quality is terrible but oh well).

Looks like your vid card has s-video out. You will need a s-video to rca adapter and something similar to connect from your sound card to your vcr. Likethis. It should be connected from the line out on your sound card to the audio in on your vcr.

Set the output mode to composite (gets forgotten easily). I don't know where that option is in newer NVidia drivers though. But it used to be something that was easily overlooked.
