
In Windows 10, the users can reclaim the hard drive space by deleting the unnecessary and unwanted system and other files. This is possible by performing the Disk clean up. Reclaiming Hard Drive Space by Disk Clean-Up
Step 1
Click the ‘Disk Clean-Up’ Option
Firstly, the user has to click the search icon found at the right side of the start window to search and find the clean-Up option. Now using the search feature and select the ‘Disk Clean-Up’ option as shown below.

Step 2
Select ‘Clean up system files’ Option
In the Disk clean Up window, you can find the amount of space that can be currently freed using the disk clean up option in the first 2 sentences. User has to click the ‘Clean up system files’ option to free up hard drive space.

Step 3
Click the Checkbox for ‘Required files’ to be Removed
As shown below, you can manually click the checkbox for ‘Requires files’ in order to delete them. Then the user has to click the ‘OK’ button to delete the selected files.

Select ‘Delete files’
The user has to now click the ‘Delete files’ option in the confirmation dialog box for the Disk clean process to happen. The disk cleanup process might take some time to finish.

Click the ‘More Option’ Tab
You can reclaim hard drive space by removing programs you don't use. For this, the user has to click the ‘More Options’ tab.

Step 6
Click the ‘Clean Up’ Option
In the more options tab, the user has to click the ‘Clean up’ option to select and remove the unwanted programs that you don’t use.

You can now easily reclaim the hard drive space by performing the disk cleanup, following the above steps.
