How to recall my PIN number?

I know this is silly. I could just have my bank reset the PIN number on my card. But damnit, it's driving me crazy.

I've had the same PIN number on my debit card for many years. Probably something like 15, maybe 20 years, and I've used the card at ATMs and stores a dozen times a week. Never forgot it. I can't even remember ever having entered it wrong. And then all of a sudden a couple of weeks ago I forgot the number. It's almost like I never knew it, like a little part of my brain had been erased.

It's a four digit number and I'm 99.9% certain it's made up of three particular digits that I do remember, with one of them repeated. One of the digits is a zero, and I'm nearly certain that it's not repeated.

So, for example, if the digits were 0 4 7, it might be 4407 or 7074 or 7440 or ... At least there are a finite number of possibilities.

How do I get that part of my brain back?

O.K....so what's your Mother's maiden name?

It's a brain fart and you'll get over it unless it's lupus. TD Bank gave me a 9 digit user ID that I was supposed to change. I never did and had to call them once because it just wouldn't appear at the end of my fingers. I should write that one down.

What's weird is I know the CC number, the expiration date and the security code printed on the card. I decided to commit them to memory for online purchases without having to get up off my butt to retrieve the card from another room. I even used it in a bar once to pay my tab when I forgot my wallet. I just had the guy manually punch in the numbers on the card terminal's keypad.

Had the same thing happen, never did come back to me. Just ended up getting a new card from the bank.

I made up a random number and just memorized it and use it for a lot of bank stuff, but I also don't change it as often as I probably should. If I lost my card I'd be canceling it pretty much the same day though so odds of someone getting into my account is slim. I've even come close to suspending my cell because I can't find it. I don't mess around with that.

Use muscle memory on a keypad, works for me.

That's kind of what I've been trying to do, and how I'm certain of the three digits that make up the number. I've been writing down the failed numbers that I've tried to date.

This evening I think it might have come back to me, but I thought the same thing yesterday and the number failed. Will try again tomorrow.

Actually this reminds me of when I was at my sister's house and I sent my mom to go get something at my house, I forget the whole situation and why I did not go myself, but long story short, I could not remember the code to my alarm and the one I gave her was wrong. Cops showed up... lol. Sucked because I had to pay like $100 to get my alarm re-activated.

Stop thinking about it, go to sleep, wake up tomorrow, walk up to an ATM and let your fingers do the poking.

Instead of trying to do the impossible why not just go to the bank and reset the pin. It won't cost you anything.

Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it. I'm not going to let this small setback slow me down. I will walk again.

Take a B12 supplement, make yourself a nice cup of tea (I suggest green), sip the tea and close your eyes and meditate. Imagine your life is a movie: play back your life from childhood to now in your mind's eye.

Then, when you get to now, use the numpad to input the pin onto notepad.

Build it into part of your street address of your house. Maybe make it backwards, so if you lived at 299843 penny lane, it would be 3489

Could also be based off zip code. If I lived in 90210 it could be 0120

The absolute best places to remember stuff like this is either in the car or in the shower. The reason being, you will remember it but not have a place to write it down and your mind knows this so it purposely brings this info to the front when you can least use it/write it down.
