How to "really" get rid of AOL?

my friend has cancelled her aol account for a year, but she just told me that they have charge her $70 to the credit card (her dad's). They have been overcharging her in the past too. it is getting ridiculous...:|

please help to get rid of this sucker! thanks

I know AOL sucks, but I doubt they'd stoop that low.

If she isn't under any kind of contract and has truly cancelled the service just call the credit card company and dispute the charges.

She needs to write the credit card comapany and dispute.
She needs to write AOL and threaten them in small claims court in her jurisdiction. They'll stop.

AOL Tme Warner, and small claims court? I doubt it. Leung you need to call AOL and see what the deal is, perhaps there was a miscommunication somewhere. As much as AOL sux, I highly doubt they would have charged you or your friend deliberately. They are a large company, mistakes do happen
