please help...I just built a system with celery II 600 running at 900 MHz, on Tyan Trinity s1854 mobo. I am running the CPU at 1.75 V (default is 1.7 V). I am using the retail Heat sink + fan. I wanna know if I need more cooling. How can I read the CPU temperature. I downloaded sisoft sandra, but I cannot find the CPU temp anywhere. any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Download a program called Motherboard Monitor (aka MBM) or Hmonitor.

Sandra is really inacurate.

thanks..I downloaded motherbard monitor, but it gives me a temp of 0. I donno whats wrong, why its not able to sense the temp. I chose the right core voltage and the right port, but still of no use. What else can I do to read the temp of the CPU? Do I need to change something in the bios?

check mbm's website to see if it is compatible with your MB, and how to set it up to read temps.
