How to read a CD?

Hi All,

I just received a CD which is supposed to contain a program to install.
It should have Directories and Sub Directories with auto run in the initial directory. However, with Explorer, it only shows one hugh File and is listed as a East Cd Creator Image File.

Is there a way to get this Cd to work and show up as a bunch of files to be installed? When it is inserted in the Cd reader, it doesn't do a autorun which it is supposed to do.

Thanks for your help.

Is the one Huge file a folder?
if not, what is the name of the file extension?

Sounds like to me someone just copied an image file to a Cdr/RW.
seems they didn't choose the correct burn format to actually open the image file on the CD.

Thanks all for your help.

I just downloaded the ISOBUSTER and will try it and let you all know what happened.

Thanks, again.

😀

I installed IsoBuster and tried it on my CD.
It was recognized, but when I tried to extract the data, all I got was errors. When I looked in the directory that was to contain the extracted files, all that was there was a copy of the CD. It is an ISO CD.

I guess the CD is bad.

Finally, Success!!

I believe the ISOBUSTER program didnot know the format of the CD. (That was my fault)!
I spaced down to describe the file and when I selected General ISO or somthing like that, it expanded perfectly. Then, I highlighted all and had it extract all files to a temp directory. Worked great!

Thank you all for all your help. I certainly appreciate it.
