Hey all - I'm running Windows XP and I accidentally associated my .nfo files with a program. I need it to be associated with the msinfo32 program, but I'm not sure how. There is no .EXE for this program. The only way I know how to start it is to click on Start -> Run -> type in "msinfo32". I could reassociate it if I could just find the program for it.. but it doesn't seem to exist. Anyone know?

you should be able to delete the association entirely (.nfo) with whatever its binded to...and when you double click on an .nfo file again, you should be able to pick whatever program you want to associate it with.

Right-click the file and choose "Open with". Tell it what program to open it with and click the box that says "Always use the selected program to open this type of file"

Open Windows Explorer
Click on Tools - Folder Options
Click on the File Types tab
Scroll down to .NFO and click on it
There will be a button in the bottom right that says "Restore".. Click it.

That should take care of it.
