I have an old laptop with no cdrom and I want to put win95 on it. I have it right infront of me but teh cab files are 1.68mb. I know you could get win95 on floppy disk, is there a program that will let me format my disk's so I can copy over the files.

try L=maxidisk]http://www.herne.com/mdisk1.htm[/L]

format your floppys to 1.68 & copy the files to them. Don't know if it will work, but good luck.

I have Windows-95 on floppy disk, I think it takes like 26 discs or something... but there is a much easier way to do this than resorting to floppies -- use the DOS program laplink to connect your computers together via parallel ports. I don't think you can access the CD-ROM drive directly through laplink, so you will need to copy the contents of the Win95 disk to the hard-disk first... I've done this in the past, but it's been a while, and I can't remember all the particulars. If you type "help" at the DOS prompt you'll be able to get all the details on how to do this.

so you just need a basic parallel cable? also my version of win95 has ubs support.. but i plan on buying a usb network card but linksys says it is not supported. Would win98 drivers work? o well if not win98 will do just fine.
