Can anyone help me with this? I want to prevent people from using the "save picture as" button to steal my images on my website. Is this possible? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!:)

I think you can use a Java Script that is basically disable the right click but I dunno what the Java Script is. I will post one if I find one.

Doesnt work if you know how to get around it. Alot of sites have right clicking disabled. But if you keep right clicking real fast eventually one comes up, anyways there are other ways to save picture besides right clicking and selecting save as.

Uhh... Don't put any more effort in trying to prevent someone saving your pictures. It's impossible!

Sure you can try Javascripts, Java Applets, Flash, Full-Screen open and even programs that say "will prevent picture theft." Nothing, I mean NOTHING will prevent someone from hitting the "Print Screen" button and pasting it into any picture editor.

The botton line... "If they want it... they will get it."

you can put watermarks and identification tags in the image to at least show where it is from. Its a common problem especially with fleabay.. you might see one persons Pic in several auctions.. just lazy mans way of doing the hard work. :| But in the same respect when you "STEAL" one from the manufacturers website then you must realize all is fair in love and war.. :) Like folks who link directly to someone elses data page ... bandwidth theft..

Heh, that reminds me of a time when another seller copied the HTML source on my auction page onto his, including all the picture links. I thought I'd have a little fun and re-upload different pictures under the same filenames, including this one that said something like 'The Happy Sperm sez Masturbation is Murder'. The best part was that he already had bids so he couldn't edit out the picture links on his page. I don't know why but I felt a little guilty and took the pictures off.

I don't think it can be done. Even with right click disable, people can just save the whole web page, which will include your picture file.

Hate to restate, but ANY IMAGE on the web is up for grabs. However, the right click stopper java app will keep the average joe at bay.
