How to pull out pentium 4 fan/heatsink?

that fan just looks like itll pop off, doesnt look like it has ant screws, schould just be able to pull it, the side clamps just keep it there with pressure
 
use the lever on top, that'll loosen the stranglehold enough that one side will be loose, then pull on the one side to move it away from where it clamps down (gently), then on the other side pull the plastic clamp part away, you should be able to lift it up.

but from the picture you included, it looks to be already removed. 😉
 
Ya but that is not the one I am going to pull out. I grab that picture from google search. 🙂 The one I need to pull out is still stuck with the socket.
 
if it's still stuck, be careful. yo could damage the pins on the cpu if you pull it. and that sucks.
(off the record) you can carefully use a screwdriver to get under the plastic clasp cage but you have to be extremely careful to not damage anything.
