How to properly dispose of old mobo?

They say theres tons of precious metals in them but I don't get rid of enough of them to care. I strip the jumpers off and anything else that might be valuable and just toss them. I suppose if you have a hazard waste drop off place you could take it there.

Consignment computer stores would take it if it's not too old (I think it has to be at least a Pentium nowadays).

Snowshoes for the kids. Needs to done in barefeet though with string running through the mounting holes.

If you know an electronics freak in your neighborhood, old mobo's are a great source of high quality caps and they'll love to take it off your hands. The local electronic shop can also greenly dispose of it.

Colleges and universities sometimes have a scrap heap of sorts for computer parts -- I've gotten some good stuff from them. :D Anyhow, if you have one locally, you might ask about where/how they dispose of computer parts.
