How to properly dispose of old mobo?

They say theres tons of precious metals in them but I don't get rid of enough of them to care. I strip the jumpers off and anything else that might be valuable and just toss them. I suppose if you have a hazard waste drop off place you could take it there.

If you know an electronics freak in your neighborhood, old mobo's are a great source of high quality caps and they'll love to take it off your hands. The local electronic shop can also greenly dispose of it.

Colleges and universities sometimes have a scrap heap of sorts for computer parts -- I've gotten some good stuff from them. 😀 Anyhow, if you have one locally, you might ask about where/how they dispose of computer parts.

I burn them...

makes for one hell of a bonfire (burned a laser printer that didn't work once... toner creates purple flames)
